Eygalières is a village with the foot of the alpilles, located at 5 mn of Rémy Saint of Provence.
the village is bordered of vast fields of olive-trees, small valleys green and vines, and very beautiful properties with superb restored farmhouses.
With far, before arriving at the village, you will see Eygalières, at the top of its small hill. Gradually by bringing you closer, you will distinguish the houses which are spread out over the hill vis-a-vis the panorama… and you will have only one idea, to stop you to visit this village.

The old houses of the village are out of stone and very beautiful, they always have a bit of greenery or a bush of flower which exceeds door and lets guess beautiful gardens. The grand' street of the village goes up to the old village, while passing by the street of the Church you will join the ruins of the castle, the esplanade of the old keep and the St. Lawrence church.
You will be able to also visit the museum of old Eygalières, which is in the Vault of Penitent (XVII°). It presents some prehistoric testimonys as well as a collection of old tools which were used to the peasants formerly. From here, you will have a really superb panorama on the mountain of Caume, Alpilles and the Durance and on the Ventoux Mount in released weather.
A superb walk à.vélo by the small road (D24) which starts from Eygalière will guide you in the medium of these famous landscapes of Alpilles. If you take the direction of Aureille you will pass by the pretty No Figuières to 247 m of alt. bordered of pines and wild aromatic plants.
